Cruising the mighty Danube in the downtown section of the Hungarian capital, Budapest, is a great choice for daytime sightseeing.
Thankfully, the city has most of its essential tourist attractions right beside the river. In a few hours you can rightfully say that you know the face of the city. Buda and Pest were two separate cities until 1873 when the three parts of today’s Hungarian (Buda, Pest, Old-Buda) capital were melted together officially by order of the government. Both cities built up their ports and harbours for trading and travel purposes, but no permanent bridge stood on this section of the Danube until 1849. The first permanent bridge of the city, the Szechenyi Chain Bridge, is where we start our cruises from. Cruising under six bridges of the city discover the old mingling with the new, history mixing with modern! It is a travel through the different eras of the stormy past of Hungary.
Take time to explore a new perspective with an exeptional photo opportunity on our Coffee & Cruise, try out the amazing Hungarian traditional cuisine on the Lunch & Cruise event with unlimited open-buffet lunch and drinks included while admiring the sight or start your night already in the afternoon with a pair of fancy cocktails or three beers from one of the best Hungarian ones on our Cocktail & Beer ship any day of the year!
